Chilli Faded 2.0 Gun

James initially designed this board for Jay Davies to handle the heavy waters of the West Oz outer reefs. Since then, this board has been R&D'd through-out the epic Australian east coast winter of 2020 and the Hawaii. Chilli has designed this board with maximum attention to detail. A 1/4 inch hardwood cedar stringer and double leash plug gives the rider full confidence in challenging conditions.

• OUTLINE: The Faded 2.0 Gun has a fullish nose and holds some foam under the chest for paddle power, further enhanced with the traditional 'beak' and carrying down into a pulled in pin tail.
• ROCKER: The board has a flat-medium entry, and a smooth medium tail rocker. This compliments the Vee Double Concave bottom contour. The rocker plays a big part in the paddling momentum that's needed when surfing big waves. The water moves much faster and gaining speed in a few strokes is essential.
• CONTOURS: Vee Double Concave runs down the full bottom of the board (nose to tail). It gives the board complete traction onto the wave face. This board is guaranteed to hold in waves of consequence.
• RAIL: Full rail to add to the paddle power which tapers down towards the bottom 1/3 of the board providing maximum hold.
• WAVE HEIGHT: 8-20 ft.
• SURFER SKILL LEVEL: Advanced.
• FINS: FUTURES 5-fin set-up.

El shaper y fundador de Chilli Surfboards, Jamie Cheal, lleva surfeando en la Gold Coast desde los 13 años y unos años más tarde se trasladó a Sidney para trabajar en una fábrica de tablas de surf. En 1995, con 22 años shapeó su primera tabla de surf y desde entonces es lo único que sabe hacer. Poco a poco su fama fue creciendo en Australia y en 2004 Andy Irons comenzó a usar sus tablas en el World Tour y otros riders profesionales también. Su objetivo es crear modelos que sirvan a todo tipo de surfistas y mantener una gran calidad en todo el proceso de fabricación.
